Model SA100 Dual 5-5Maintenance
5.1.10 DC Board
1. Turn R22 on the DC PWB fully CW. Turn R17 fully CCW. Turn R2 fully CW.
2 Connect dummy load, turn AC power on, and setup the transmitter to rated power.
3 Connect a DC voltmeter to the 12V output on the AC power supply and note the reading.
4 Turn AC off and DC on. Adjust R17 for a reading 0.6V less than the reading noted in Step 3.
5 Connect the DC voltmeter to the high voltage output on the AC power supply.
6 Adjust R2 for a reading of approximately 180V.
7 (FOR SINGLE NON-DUAL UNITS) R22 adjusts the low voltage cutoff to approximately 19V.
To make this adjustment at any battery voltage, the following procedure can be used. (SEE
DC AUTO DISCONNECT PWB SECTION FOR DUAL UNITS).
a. Measure the voltage at pin 5 of U5. Record this as V5.
b. Measure the battery voltage. Record this as VB.
c. Calculate V = .0526 x V5 x VB
d. Connect a voltmeter to pin 6 of U5 and adjust R22 for the voltage calculated above.
5.1.11 DC Auto Disconnect PWB
1. Turn R4 Fully CW.
2. R4 adjusts the DC Auto Disconnect to approximately 19V. To make this adjustment at any
battery voltage, the following procedure can be used.
a. Measure the voltage at pin 12 of U1. Record this as V12.
b. Measure the battery voltage. Record this as VB.
c. Calculate V13 = V12 X VB X .0526
d. Connect a voltmeter to pin 13 of U1 and adjust R4 for the voltage (V13) calculated above.
