5 Maintenance
The procedures in this section are done at the factory. They should only be performed in the
event that any adjustments become necessary.
5.1 Alignment and Adjustment
5.1.1 Power Supply Check
1. Switch RF to OFF.
2. Turn RF LEVEL CCW.
3. Turn MOD CCW.
4. Set RF METER to OFF.
5. Attach DC voltmeter to terminals 3 and 4 of TB2 on one of the AC Power Supply boards. See
figure "AC Power Supply Diagram."
6. Switch PRI Power to ON. Meter should read approximately 12.3V. Repeat measurement for
each AC Power Supply.
7. Attach DC voltmeter to terminals 1 and 2 of TB2 on one of the AC Power Supply boards.
Voltage should read approximately 220V depending on input AC voltage.
8. Repeat measurement of each AC Power Supply.
5.1.2 Synthesizer Adjustment
1. Turn RF LEVEL fully CCW and apply AC power.
2. Use extender board (provided) to raise Kwosyn PWB for adjustments.
3. Place S1 on the Kwosyn PWB in the C2 position.
4. Set the frequency to 320KHz and adjust L1 for 2VDC at TP2.
5. Place S1 on the Kwosyn PWB in the C1 position.
6. Set the frequency to 190KHz and adjust L2 for 2VDC at TP2.
7. For operation above 430 KHz, set the frequency to 400 KHz, S1 to the C2 position, and
adjust L1 for 2V at TP2.
8. Select the assigned frequency, connect a frequency counter to TP1, and adjust C10 to the
exact assigned frequency.
