>
Select the pre-ground coffee brewing function by pressing the AROMA STRENGTH
button. The machine is ready for brewing.
>
Press the ESPRESSO LUNGO button. The machine starts dispensing water from the
coffee dispensing spout.
> As soon as the progress bar has reached the middle, put the main switch to the OFF
position to turn the machine off.
Let the degreasing solution work for about 15 minutes.
>
Turn the main switch to the ON position to turn the machine on.
>
Press the STAND-BY button. Wait for the end of the “5.2.2 Automatic rinse/self-
cleaning cycle”.
Perform a complete “7.2.1 Weekly brew group cleaning cycle”.
The machine is ready for brewing.
7.3 Containers cleaning
7.3.1 Cleaning of the water tank
> Removethewaterlterfromthetankandwashitwithfreshwater.
>
Restorethewaterltertoitsseat,pressinglightlyandwithaslightrotation.
>
Fill the water tank with fresh water.
7.3.2 Monthly cleaning of the coffee compartments
> Once a month, empty and clean the coffee bean hopper with a wet cloth.
>
Fill it again with the coffee beans.
>
If necessary, clean the pre-ground coffee compartment with a dry cloth.
7.4 Milk frother cleaning
7.4.1 Milk frother cleaning cycle
It is important to clean the milk frother after every use, in order to promote hygiene
and guarantee the perfect thickness of the frothed milk. The cleaning of the milk
frother entails a cleaning cycle with water alone (simple rinsing).
The milk frother must be installed.
>
Insertthesuctiontubeintoacontainerlledwithfreshwater.
>
Inthemonthlycleaningphase,duringtherstcleaningcycleaddtheSaecomilkcircuit
cleaner to 1/2 l of lukewarm water and wait for it to dissolve completely.
>
Place a large container (1.5 l) under the milk frother dispensing spout.
Do not drink the solution resulting from the process.
Dispensing phase
> Press the MILK FROTH button to start dispensing.
Wait for the necessary pre-heating time. The machine dispenses hot water in the
container.
>
When the dispensed water is clear, stop dispensing by pressing the OK button. It will
take a few seconds before the machine stops dispensing completely.
The machine automatically stops dispensing if no button is pressed for 3 minutes.
>
Clean the suction tube with a damp cloth.
7.4.2 Monthly cleaning of the milk frother components
Monthly cleaning of the milk frother comprises two cleaning cycles carried out in a
sequence:therstcyclerequirestheuseofaspecicdetergentandwater,thesecond
cycles uses water alone (simple rinsing).
Perform the sequence of operations described in the “7.4.1 Milk frother cleaning cycle”
chaptertwotimesinarow,addingthespecicdetergenttothewaterthersttime
and using water alone the second time (rinsing phase). Finally, proceed as described in
the following “Milk frother dispensing spout disassembly phase” chapter.

Burning hazard! If the machine has been recently used the steam wand and the milk
frothed could be hot.
