10.2.1 AquaClean installation
> RemovetheAquaCleanwaterlterfromitspackaging,immerseitverticallyincold
water, with the opening upwards, and slightly press the sides to let air bubbles out.
>
InserttheAquaCleanwaterlterintheemptywatertank.Youcanleavethesmall
waterlterinstalled.
>
PushtheAquaCleanwaterltertothelowestpossiblepoint.
>
Fill the water tank with fresh water and restore it to the machine.
>
Dispense half the water contained in the tank as detailed in the “6.4.1 Hot water
dispensing” chapter.
>
Fill the water tank again.
Machine setting phase during the installation
> Press the MENU button and scroll the menu to go to the ‘AquaClean Filter function’.
>
Press the OK button to select the function.
Themachinewillindicatethenumberoflterswhichhavebeenusedfrom0upto
8lters.
> PresstheOKbuttontoconrmtheactivationotherwise
Press the ESC button to exit the programming function.
The machine automatically exits the programming mode if no button is pressed for
3 minutes.
Themachineisreadyforbrewing.TheAquaCleanlterisactive.
Thenumberofltersusedisautomaticallyupdated.Afterthe8thlterthecounting
will restart from 0/8.
10.2.2 AquaClean replacement
After a period of usage the ‘AquaClean water lter’ signal starts blinking (for
approx.150 products of 100ml). This means that you have to replace it.
The signal will blink faster when it comes close to the expiring time.
> Takeouttheusedlterandfollowthestepsdescribedinchapter“10.2.1 AquaClean
installation” chapter.
Ifyoudon’treplacethelterontime,themachinewillaskyoutoperformadescaling
cycle.

In ths case, follow the steps as described below “AquaClean lter replacement after
8 lters used”.
AquaCleanlterreplacementafter8ltersused
> Press the MENU button and scroll the menu to go to the ‘AquaClean Filter function’.

Press the OK button to select the function otherwise
Press the ESC button to exit the programming function.
The machine automatically exits the programming mode if no button is pressed for
3 minutes.
Themachineneedstobedescaledastheseriesof8lterisover.

Perform the instructions described at the “7.5 Descaling cycle” chapter otherwise
Press the ESC button twice to exit the programming function.
The machine automatically exits the programming mode if no button is pressed for
3 minutes.
At the end, the machine goes back to the main menu.
>
Whenthemainmenuisdisplayed,toreplacethelterproceedasdescribedinthe
previous “10.2.1 AquaClean installation” chapter.
The machine will restart the counting of the 8lterseriesfrom0/8.
