Mounting and assembly

Mounting using crossbeam (formB, see
Fig.5-1)
The actuator can be damaged.
Î Do not unscrew the rods (A11) from the
crossbeam (A17).
1. Remove the clamps of the stem connector
(A30) from the actuator.
2. Unscrew the central nut (98) from the
valve bonnet (2).
3. Press the plug together with the plug stem
rmly into the seat ring.
4. Place the actuator with the crossbeam
(A17) onto the thread of the valve bon-
net (2), making sure that the central nut
(98) is placed over the plug stem and
fasten it to the valve bonnet. Observe
tightening torques.
5. Fail-safe action "stem extends": position
the stem connector clamps (A30) and
screw them tight. Observe tightening
torques.
Fail-safe action "stem retracts": apply
pressure to the top diaphragm chamber
until the actuator stem touches the plug
stem. Position the stem connector clamps
(A30) and screw them tight. Observe
tightening torques.
