Risk of bursting in the actuator.
Actuators are pressurized. Improper opening can lead to actuator components burst-
ing.
Î Before starting any work on the actuator, depressurize all plant sections affected
and the actuator.
Risk of fatal injury due to the ignition of an explosive atmosphere.
Incorrect installation, operation or servicing of the electropneumatic actuator in poten-
tially explosive atmospheres may lead to ignition of the atmosphere and cause death.
Î The following regulations apply to installation in hazardous areas: EN60079-14
(VDE0165, Part1).
Î Installation, operation or servicing of the electropneumatic actuator must only per-
formed by personnel who has undergone special training or instructions or who is
authorized to work on explosion-protected devices in hazardous areas.
