S&C Instruction Sheet 461-502 17
Operation
Load Current: The instantaneous fundamental-frequency
RMS load current in amperes is shown. See Figure 19.
Last Fault Magnitude: The fundamental-frequency RMS
magnitude of the last fault current in primary amperes,
measured just before the opening of the vacuum
interrupter is shown. See Figure 20. The fault current
unit is in amperes for faults below 1000 amperes and in
kiloamps (kA) for faults larger than 1000 amperes.
Number of Open Operations: The number of vacuum
interrupter open operations registered is shown. See
Figure 21. The counter will return to 0 after it displays
9,999.
Remaining Contact Wear in %: The percentage of
remaining vacuum interrupter contact wear is shown.
See Figure 22.
LCD Screen Temperature: The LCD screen temperature
is shown, in degrees Celsius. See Figure 23
Sectionalizing Mode Counts: This screen displays the
preset number of source-side circuit breaker or recloser
operations that TripSaver II recloser will count up to before
dropping open. This screen is automatically skipped if
Sectionalizing mode is disabled. See Figure 24.
Software Versions: Three pieces of information about the
software version are displayed: Application; Bootloader;
and Radio Frequency Microcontroller Unit. See Figure 25.
