Programming the Control Settings
Nominal Frequency
The Nominal Frequency setting congures the overcurrent control for the operating
frequency of the switchgear. To change the switchgear frequency:
STEP 1. From the Global Settings menu, select the frequency setting to match the
system operating frequency. See Figure 17.

STEP 2. Click on the Save button. A message will display showing that the setting has
been saved.
Continuous Current
The Continuous Current setting congures the overcurrent control for the turns ratio
of the switchgear’s current transformers. The turns ratio depends on the continuous
current rating of the switchgear:
Continuous Current, A Turns Ratio
600 660:1
Vista SD Underground Distribution Switchgear is only available in the 600-ampere
continuous current rating. To change the Continuous Current setting:
STEP 3. From the Global Settings menu, select the 600-A (660:1 CT Ratio) continuous
current rating. See Figure 18.
