Being seated in the operator's position, ad-
just the seat so you can easily access all
controls from a seated position.
●
Familiarize all warning devices, gauges
and operation controls.
●
Place all controls to neutral/shutdown posi-
tion.
●
Nobody is allowed to stay in the working
area.
●
Start the engine as indicated in Operation
Section.

2.4.1.7 Starting engine in cold season

When ambient temperature is blow 10ºC,
pre-heat the engine before start it. For de-
tailed information, see
“Engine Preheat-
ing” on page 4-25.
●
When the machine is intended to work in
areas where temperature is always below
-15ºC, fuel heating system is recommend-
ed to improve engine startup performance.
●
Suffi cient warm-up operation is necessary.
Incomplete warming up may result in slow
reaction and accidents.
●
Before starting, check the battery electro-
lyte. In case of frozen electrolyte, never
charge the battery or use alternative power
source to start the engine; instead, melt the
electrolyte fi rst. Otherwise, fi re may break
out on the battery.
