Test Print Check
After adjustment or parts replacement, perform a test print to make sure that the printer is in optimum
condition.
You can use the test print to check the print head alignment, print head balance, media tracking and
ribbon wrinkling.
1 While pressing the FEED button, set
the power switch of the printer to the “I
position.
TEST PRINT MODE shows on the screen.
2 Press the / buttons to select the types
of test print and then press the ENTER
button.
The options are as follows.
CONFIGURATION: Print the configuration
settings of the printer.
BARCODE: Print the barcodes installed in this
printer.
HEAD CHECK: Print the head check pattern of
the selected media size area.
•MEMORY: Print the contents of the memory in
this printer.
•FONT: Print the contents of the fonts installed in
this printer.
FACTORY: Perform the factory test print.
WLAN: Print the wireless LAN settings of the
printer. WLAN shows only if a wireless LAN unit is
installed.
3 Press the / buttons to select the test
print size and then press the ENTER
button.
The options available depend on the selection of the
TEST PRINT MODE above.
If TEST PRINT MODE is set to
CONFIGURATION, BARCODE or HEAD CHECK,
then setting range is as follows.
If TEST PRINT MODE is set to FACTORY or
WLAN, then setting range is as follows.
If TEST PRINT MODE is set to MEMORY or FONT, the printer will skip this step and proceed to step 4.
