3. Printer Operations
LED Indicators
There are three LED indicators on printer’s front panel - READY, MEDIA
and RIBBON. These indicators display operation status of the printer to
help users’ comprehension for further actions to take.
READY
On – Normal operation.
Blinking – Error conditions including ribbon out, media
out, print tasks cancelled, printing errors, printer
paused, printer receiving data from host.
MEDIA
On – Normal operation.
Blinking – Media is used out; install new media.
Print head overheated (printer will resume printing
automatically later.)
RIBBON
On – thermal transfer mode; install ribbon.
Off – direct thermal mode; no need to install ribbon.
Blinking – Ribbon is used out; install new ribbon.
Note: Mode selection between thermal transfer and direct
thermal can be set via labeling software, windows driver,
printer commands, or DIP Switch.
