Adjusting the sensor

Ø Place the product in the desired position.
Ø Slide sensor(3) into the holder(2) and set a distance of 0.2mm
to the screw head.
Ø Tighten screw(1).
Tightening torque:
MPG 16: 10Ncm
MPG 20–80: 12.5Ncm
Ø Monitor the "opened", "closed" or "part gripped" positions and
test the function.
5.3.4 Mounting flexible position sensor FPS
The flexible position sensor FPS consists of a torque sensor system
controller and the sensor FPS-S 13.
To operate the sensor for the sizes MPG20/25/32, the grippers
are available with special housing variants, that are prepared for
the attachment of the position sensor FPS-S 13. For these grippers,
the position sensor FPS-S 13 is directly mounted on the gripper.
To operate the sensor for the sizes MPG40 / 50 / 64 / 80, a
mounting kit must be mounted on the gripper. This mounting kit is
available from SCHUNK. For types that can be ordered, see the
catalog data sheet.
CAUTION
Risk of damage to the sensor during assembly!
• Observe the maximal tightening torque.
