11. Charging port does not work
a . E nsure t hat the de vice that’s be ing c harged w ill t ake a c harge, by t rying a di fferent pow er s ource s uch a s
a nother machine or a c omputer. I f t he de vice does c harge f rom a nother source, t he c onsole s hould b e
replaced.
12. Heart rate monitor does not pick up chest strap signal – reads 0
a . E nsure t hat the c hest s trap i s t ransmitting a s ignal by t esting it on a di fferent machine. If i t w orks on a
different machine, the console should be replaced. Else, proceed to b.
b. C heck f or s ources of e lectrical interference near c onsole. S ources m ay be a ny e lectronic device,
but e specially cell phones, m p3 pl ayers, t elevisions, and s ome m edical electronic
de vices.The diatance that constitutes “near” depends on t he de vice – c ell phones a nd m p3 pl ayers
s hould be m oved a t l east 36” a way f rom t he c onsole i f t hey a re s uspected t o be
c ausing i nterference. Other hi gher pow ered de vices may ne ed t o be f urther a way. I f a ll sources of
interference are ruled out, the console should be replaced.

14. No RPM signal
a . C heck t he c ommunication between the c onsole a nd c ontroller board by e ntering
“ Test M ode” s creen a nd not ing t he ba ttery voltage reading. I t s hould r ead be tween 10
a nd 14.5 vol ts. I f t he r eading is not w ithin t hat range, i t i ndicates that data is not ge tting from t he
c ontroller board t o t he c onsole. C heck t he c onnection of t he c ommunication cable that pl ugs i nto P 6 on
t he c ontroller board, a nd t o P 6 o n t he ba ck of t he c onsole ( The c onsole w ill ha ve t o be r emoved to
check the connection). If this cable is properly connected, proceed to step b.
b. C heck t hat the 3- pin c able that plugs i nto c onnector JP1 on t he pow er s upply boa rd i s s ecurely
c onnected, and t hat the ot her e nd of t he c able is s ecurely c onnected to t he br ake. I f t here i s
still no RPM signal, the power controller board should be replaced.
