Procedure
1. Turn ignition on but do not start engines.
2. Navigate to Dealer Menu > Initial Setup > Shift & Throttle >
Adjust Port Throttle Actuator.
3. Increase the port control lever to the full throttle position (forward
gear) and verify that the throttle linkage reaches the wide open
throttle (WOT) position.
4. Increase the stroke parameter as necessary to reach the WOT
position. Press Save after each adjustment to have it take effect.
5. Tighten the rod end lock nut (refer to the i7700 installation manual).
You will need to apply Loctite
®
242 to the threads, but you will do
this after verifying performance in the sea trial.
6. Repeat this procedure for the starboard throttle actuator.
7. The Idle Offset parameter is used to fine tune throttle response
and to synchronize the throttle actuation.
a. On some engines it may take a large amount of lever travel
before RPM starts to increase. You can reduce this deadband
by increasing the Idle Offset parameter or by adjusting the rod
end position.
b. When both levers are advanced at the same time both engines
should start to increase RPM simultaneously. If they do not you
can adjust the Idle Offset parameter until they are synchronized.
