4.3 Setting up and aligning the device
The scale is fully assembled upon delivery.
NOTICE!
Incorrect measurement as a result of force shunt
If the scale and its housing are in contact with something, e.g. a towel,
weight will not be measured correctly.
► Set up the scale so that only its feet are in contact with the ground.
1. Place the scale on a firm, level surface.
NOTICE!
Incorrect alignment may cause incorrect measurements
The spirit level is very sensitive. Additional weights, such as towels,
can result in poor scale alignment.
► Align the device only without a load on it.
2. Undo the knurled wheels.
3. Align the scale by turning the foot screws.
The air bubble in the spirit level must be located in the exact center of the
circle.
4. Tighten the knurled wheels in the direction of the arrow.
The foot screws are secured against being adjusted.
NOTE
The scale should be checked every time it is moved to ensure it is
aligned, and corrected if required.
5. If present, fit one of the measuring rods available as an option as
described in the relevant assembly instructions.
