Using your In-home display on battery
You might wish to move your In-home display away from the wall power socket, for example, to know how much
power your washing machine or the electric kettle is using. In order to do that make sure the unit has two AAA-
size batteries* inserted in its battery compartment at the back. The battery symbol will appear in the top left
hand corner when the batteries need changing.
* non-rechargeable alkaline batteries.
Press this battery On/Off switch
to use the display in the event of
loss of mains power.
The display screen will turn off
after 90 seconds from the last
time it is touched to preserve
the battery life. In order to
switch it back on, simply press
the battery switch.
What is power?
Power is the instantaneous electric demand that will change
throughout the day as you turn on (or turn off) electrical equipment
and appliances in your home. Its measured in kW that represents
the rate at which you use electricity, not the amount.
