Why is the main display showing ‘_’ instead of a value?
Most likely there is a ‘No Comms’ issue, meaning your display unit is not receiving information from the
electricity meter. The reason could be poor signal strength, it will update the display automatically once the
signal strength gets better. Keep the display unit closer to your Smart Meter for a good signal strength.
Why has the display gone blank?
Check if your display unit is connected properly to mains power or, if the display is running on battery then to
extend the battery life it will automatically go off after approximately 90 seconds, if you have not interacted with
it. To turn the display on again, press the battery button.
How can I check how much electricity I am using each day?
The electricity usage bar on the right hand side of the Home screen shows the amount of electricity you have
used so far today. You can also use the compare history screen or the graph to know more about your electricity
usage pattern.
How can I use Pipit for monitoring my electricity usage?
The cost indicators such as LED, display dial and the alarm sound in your Pipit will alert you when your usage
goes higher.
