Troubleshooting
What will happen if I unplug my Display unit?
The display will turn off when not powered and will turn on when powered back again. If required, you can also
operate your Display unit on battery. See page 18 and 19 for further details on how to operate your Display unit
on battery.
My display unit has stopped working. What went wrong?
The display will only work with ZigBee SEP 1.x Smart Meter. If you remove it from your home it will stop working.
Why is the display showing negative value under ‘GEN’?
A negative value indicates that you are actually generating more power than what you are currently using.
How is the scaling (ECO, MED, HIGH) on the display dial decided?
The budget you have set (refer to the ‘Budgeting’ page) and electricity usage readings received from your meter
decides the scaling on your display usage dial. The $/hr scaling on the dial is calibrated using the cost ($) target
you set during budgeting and the tariff price read from your meter. If your display has not received tariff price
from the meter then it will use the configured tariff price from your Pipit. Similarly, the scaling on the generation
dial is decided by the daily generation capacity that you have configured.
