8. CE Compliance and Harmonized Standards
8.1 WEEE Compliance
The Controller is a category 9 product (monitoring and control instrument) in accordance with Directive
2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, of July 4, 2012, on waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE).
We identify our electrical and electronic products (as of 13th August 2005) with the symbol shown below per
DIN EN 50419 .
The symbol indicates that these devices may not be disposed of with regular household waste
.
The separate collection and recycling of electronic waste equipment will help to conserve natural resources and
protect human health and the environment.
In order to fulfill the obligations regarding management of WEEE from users other than private households, S-E-G
will provide free recycling once the customer has returned the equipment to S-E-G.
Contact S-E-G support or your local dealer for information regarding where to return the equipment.
Free recycling is only available where a replacement product is being supplied by S-E-G.
8.2 RoHS Compliance
The Controller is a category 9 product (monitoring and control instrument) in accordance with Directive
2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, of January 2, 2013, on the restriction of the use of
certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS)
This device is not subject to the RoHS directive. However, in order to contribute to a safe and healthy
environment, S-E-G has decided to design this product to full RoHS compliance anyway.
8.3 CE Compliance
The Controller complies with Directive 2004/108/EC and the EMC requirements of:
