Avoid Submerging Your Segway PT
Submerging your Segway PT can cause permanent damage (see
Figure 26).
Figure 26. Avoid Submersion
Observe the following rules regarding submersion and water:
z Do not submerge the Batteries or Powerbase in water.
z Avoid exposure to heavy downpours or extended periods of
heavy rain (when riding, storing, or transporting the Segway PT).
Do not use a power washer or high pressure hose to clean
your Segway PT. Use of these devices could force water into
components that must stay dry.
Do not allow water to get into the Charge Port.
CAUTION
Do not clean the Mat or Tires with any specialized cleaners.
Use of such products may reduce traction.
