System update
This is a function that updates the system by connecting to
the network to check if a SH-R10 system update is necessary
and downloading the update file if necessary.

If a system update is required, that effect will be announced on
the handset.
z
System update can be performed with the address book
registered in the handset, camera images, emails, download
data, etc. in the handset remaining as is. However, the data
may not be protected depending on the state of the handset
(failure, damage, water, etc.). It is recommended that important
data be backed up. However, please be advised that some
downloaded data may not be backed up.
z
During system update, a large volume of packet communication
may occur. If Wi-Fi communication is available, we recommend
that Wi-Fi be used for update.
Things to keep in mind
z
If the battery level is insufficient, system update may not be able
to be performed. Before updating the system, fully charge the
battery. We recommend that system update be performed while
charging the battery.
z
It may take time to update the system (downloading, overwriting).
z
During system update, you cannot make or receive calls and use
communication functions and other functions. However, calls can
be received during downloading.
z
We recommend that system update be performed in a location
with good signal reception and without moving. System update
may be interrupted if signal is weak.
z
SMS received during system update are stored in the SMS
center.
z
During system update, the information unique to your SH-R10
(model, serial number, etc.) is sent to our system update server.
Sent information is only used for system update.
z
In the case of system update failure, there is a possibility that the
handset can no longer be used. If the handset becomes
unusable, contact the support phone number listed on the
Warranty Card.
z
When PIN code is set, the PIN code entry screen appears during
restart after rewriting and you are required to enter PIN code.
z
Do not start other applications during system update.
