This chapter describes the basic key operations (input rules) of the calculator. The
procedures described here show how to perform calculations with common math
functions. This chapter also explains the main set-up functions (mode settings).
1. Entering Numeric Values
The number keys ( 0 to 9 ), and . and — are used to enter numeric
values.
<Example>
To enter “356.25”
Press
¬ 356 . 25.
• To enter an exponent, use

• To enter a negative (-) number, press — before
entering the number.
* Using - to enter a negative number generates an error. - is used only for subtraction.

To enter “-25.34”
