System connections (continued)
Connecting to a TV with a video input socket:
If your TV is equipped only with a video input socket (without
SCART), connect a video cable (not supplied) to enjoy images.
! Attaching the back cover
After making all the connections, attach the back cover to the main
unit. Fit the claws into the holes.
! Headphones
"
Before plugging in or unplugging the headphones, reduce the
volume.
"
Be sure your headphones have a 3.5 mm diameter plug and are
between 16 ohms and 50 ohms impedance. The recommended
impedance is 32 ohms.
"
Plugging in the headphones disconnects the speakers automati-
cally. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME control.
Set the video output mode to "S-Video". For the procedure, refer to
"Changing the initial setting of DVD" on pages 56, 58.
Notes:
"
Change the TV input in accordance with the connected socket.
"
Do not connect other equipment (VCR, etc.) between the TV and
the main unit. Images may be distorted.
"
Refer to the operation manual of the equipment to be connected.
"
Insert the plugs fully to avoid fuzzy pictures or noise.
