Missing 5V supply to the EEPROM.
Check CN104, Pin 1 on the DC Power Supply. If 5V is
missing, replace the DC Power Supply.
E7-20, E7-21, E7-22 or E7-23 trouble
Check the 5V line to the LSU from the DC power supply.
CN104 pin 1 on the DC power supply should be 5V. If
less than 5V (or zero), replace the DC PSU
Check if the Black drum cleaner blade has flipped,
which may cause the drum gear to split - causing the
machine to indicate C4-00 trouble.
C4-00 and/or F2-74, F2-76, F2-77
trouble after installation
Check if the TC PWB (RDENU0133FCPZ) is mounted
correctly onto the frame.
If the PWB is not clipped in correctly, electrical noise
may occur due to poor contact of the HV springs,
resulting to the above trouble codes
(and/or jam conditions).
F2-40, F2-41, F2-42 and F2-43 trouble
During initial setup and “Toner Replenishment, Please
Wait” indication is displayed, DO NOT perform any of
the following operations:-
a. Turning OFF and On the power switch.
b. Opening and closing any exterior cover (eg’s. front
cover or right door etc).
c. Enter service simulation mode.
If the toner drop detection is interrupted the machine
will reset the detection mode and run it again
therefore, an over toner error may occur.
Refer to COP1709.
If the fusing interface harness hangs down, the base
reflection plate of the color image concentration sensor
(image resistor sensor F) may not open and close
correctly, resulting to F2-88 or F2-45 trouble.
Check the transfer mode detector (CL/BK) mounted on
the main rear frame rear side for toner contamination.
Add a sensor sheet PSHEP6339FCZZ and three sensor
molts PMLT-1960FCZZ, PMLT-1961FCZZ, PMLT-
1962FCZZ to the rear side (transfer frame CL) of the 1st
transfer unit.
If the unit has varying , or bad registration and SIM
50-22 does not fix , try the following.
1. In SIM 50-20 , items A to I , set to default of 100 ,
then try 50-22 again .
2. Fit Polysliders as per service bulletin COP1985 .
3. Check surface of primary transfer belt , and make
sure there are no scratches where the sensors read.
4. Make sure Primary transfer belt rotates freely , and
check drive gear is not damaged.
5. Replace Complete Drum Assy.
