4. STEERING CYLINDER
1) Removal
1. Disconnect the oil pipes, 1, from the adapters, 2.
2. Remove the retaining bolt and hose clamp, 3.
3. Remove the nuts and adapters, 2, from the frame.
4. Place a floor jack under the front axle assembly.
5. Place safety stands under the frame to support the
front end of the tractor.
6. Remove the retaining bolts, 1, and pivot shaft cover,
2, from the frame.
7. Remove the retaining bolts, 3, and bearing holder, 4,
and lower the front axle assembly, 5, while
separating the universal joint, 6, from the front axle
input shaft, 7.
8. Remove the oil hoses, 8, from the cylinder, 9.
9. Remove the cotter pin, 1, retaining nut, 2, and the
link assembly, 3, from the front axle assembly, 4.
