4.6 Default settings
The default parameter set (parameter set 0) is set in all fire detectors when
delivered.
The following table shows the default parameter set of the various fire detectors.
Fire detector Default parameter set
FDOOT241-x in FDnet operation:
z Sensor mode 0 (neural fire detector) High Compensation
z Sensor mode 1 (heat detector) A1R
z Sensor mode 2 (smoke detector) Universal
FDOOT241-9 in collective operation:
z Sensor mode 0 (neural fire detector) ES <13 = Insensitive / ES ≥13 = High
Compensation
z Sensor mode 1 (heat detector) A1R
z Sensor mode 2 (smoke detector) Universal
FDOOT241-8 in MS8 operation:
z Sensor mode 0 (neural fire detector) Sensitive
z Sensor mode 1 (heat detector) A1R
z Sensor mode 2 (smoke detector) Universal
FDOOT221 Standard
FDO241 Robust
FDO221 Standard
FDT241 A1R
FDT221 A1R
Upon commissioning of the fire detection system, the optimum parameter set must
be selected based on the existing risk and the ambient conditions.
If the fire detectors are operated on the FDnet (addressed), the fire detectors are
automatically set to the basic setting for the country in question when the control
panel is started up for the first time. Individual adaptation is made using the
commissioning tool of the corresponding control panel.
If the fire detectors are operated in collective or MS8 operation, the detectors
operate with their default setting on first commissioning. In this operating mode,
individual adaptation of the detector behavior is performed using the detector
exchanger and tester FDUD292.
