9.1.4 General cases of EMC performance
Three General cases of EMC performance are available as detailed below:
Case 1: General Industrial
Compliance with the EMC Product Standard for Power Drive Systems EN 61800-3
for use in Second Environment (Industrial) and Restricted Distribution.

Limits are weaker as EN55011, class A,
group 1
Immunity:
Electrostatic Discharge EN 61000-4-2 8 kV air discharge
Burst Interference EN 61000-4-4 2 kV power cables (Level 3),
1 kV control (Level 3)
Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Field EN61000-4-3 26-1000 MHz, 10 V/m
Case 2: Filtered Industrial
This level of performance will allow the manufacturer/assembler to self-certify their
apparatus for compliance with the EMC directive for the industrial environment as
regards the EMC performance characteristics of the power drive system.
Performance limits are as specified in the Generic Industrial Emissions and
Immunity standards EN 50081-2 and EN 61000-6-2.
