European Low Voltage Directive
The MICROMASTER product range complies with the requirements of the Low
Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC as amended by Directive 98/68/EEC. The units are
certified for compliance with the following standards:
EN 50178 Electronic equipment for use in power installations
EN 60204-1 Safety of machinery - Electrical equipment of machines
European EMC Directive
When installed according to the recommendations described in this manual, the
MICROMASTER fulfils all requirements of the EMC Directive as defined by the
EMC Product Standard for Power Drive Systems EN61800-3.
Underwriters Laboratories
UL and CUL LISTED POWER CONVERSION EQUIPMENT 5B33 for use in a
pollution degree 2
ISO 9001
Siemens plc operates a quality management system, which complies with the
requirements of ISO 9001.

Machinery Directive
The devices are suitable for installation in machines. According to the machinery
directive 89/392/EC the compliance requires a separate certificate of conformity.
This certificate must be issued by the firm which constructs the plant or puts the
machinery on the market.
