14 Removing the Power Supplies
NOTE
The power supplies are hot swappable. It is not necessary to disconnect power to the device before
installing or removing a power supply.
1. Remove the blank power module assembly or, if equipped, the currently installed power supply. For
information about removing power supplies, refer to Section 2.3.1.2, “Removing the Power Supplies”.
2. Insert the power supply into the empty slot. When power is supplied to the device, the top and bottom LEDs
on the power supply should be green, indicating that power is being received and supplied to the device.

3. Hand-tighten the screws to secure the power supply.

Removing the Power Supplies
To remove a power supply, do the following:

The power supplies are hot swappable. It is not necessary to disconnect power to the device before
installing or removing a power supply.
1. Remove the screws that secure the power supply.
2. Pull the power supply from the chassis.
