Con󹪝guration
The con󹪝guration of the control unit ATD420W on PROFIBUS or ATD430W on PROFINET is made
via certi󹪝ed GSD 󹪝les. This ensures compatibility with di󹪜erent industrial automation systems.
Before con󹪝guring, you must import the relevant GSD 󹪝le into the con󹪝guration tool, for
example STEP 7.
Programming
A function block is provided for quick and easy connection of an SIDOOR drive to a SIMATIC
controller via PROFIBUS or PROFINET communication.
9.1 PROFINET integration via GSD 󹪝le
Install the GSD 󹪝le (see GSD 󹪝les (
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/
103949094)) in the applicable con󹪝guration tool before con󹪝guring the SIDOOR ATD430W
PROFINET controller.
After installation, you will 󹪝nd the ATD430W controller under the following category:
"PROFINET IO > Drives > SIDOOR"

Con󹪝guration notes
• Modify the Ethernet or PROFINET settings according to the applicable system.
• Make sure that the I/O addresses start at the same value.
• When the system is con󹪝gured, the device parameters are assigned the following default
values speci󹪝ed by the GSD:
Cycle time [ms]: "100"

9.2 PROFIBUS integration via GSD 󹪝le
Install the GSD 󹪝le (see Industry Online Support (https://

before con󹪝guring the SIDOOR ATD420W PROFIBUS controller.
