A.1.2 Process data
Telegrams
The type of telegram on the drive side de󹪝nes which process data is to be transferred between
master and slave.
From the point of view of the slave, there are receive words and send words.
The receive and send words comprise the following elements:
Receive words: Control words or setpoints
Send words: Status words or actual values
Telegram type used
The supported telegram type is speci󹪝c to the manufacturer, and structured according to
internal company speci󹪝cations. The internal process data connections are set automatically by
the system.
Process data
The desired scope of the process data can be con󹪝gured with parameter p2022 (number of
PZDs). The assignment order is not additionally con󹪝gurable.
The table below describes the structure of the process data and its subdivision into:
Control word (STW) – status word (ZSW)
Technology control words (TSW) – technology status words (TZW)

A.1.2.1 STW1 - control word (CtrlW)
Control word -1 (STW1) is identical to the speci󹪝cation in the PROFIBUS pro󹪝le "Variable-speed
drives".
Bits 0 to 10 correspond exactly to the speci󹪝cations for the PROFIBUS pro󹪝le "Variable-speed
drives". The use and non-use of speci󹪝c bits is marked accordingly.
