3.3.3 Address space
The DIQ 16x24VDC/0.5A 8xM12 digital input/output module occupies a different number of
bytes in the process image input (PII) or process image output (PIQ), depending on which
configuration mode you selected.
The following figures show you the various assignments of the address spaces.

Parameter assignment of the channels
In the configuration modes for digital in
puts and outputs, either all channels are user
configurable or all channels have a fixed configurati
on, depending on the configuration.
For the channels that are configured as an input, the corresponding values in the output data
do not trigger any reactio
n.
For the channels that are configured as an output, the input value in the process image is 0.
Configuration mode DIQ without value status
The figure below shows the assignment of the address space for the
DIQ 16x24VDC/0.5A 8xM12 digital input / digital output module in the DIQ without value
status configuration mode (Quality Information, QI).
