3.3 Connecting the device

The relevant symbol on the device identifies the terminal for the earth connection.
● T20 screwdriver
● Cable lug for M4
● Protective conductor or equipotential-bonding cable with minimum cross-section 2.5 mm

The figure below shows the connection of a function earth.
Clamp the cable lug onto the
ground cable:
– PE conductor: yellow-
green, as depicted.
– Equipotential bonding:
black
Using the M4 screw, firmly
attach the cable lug to the
earth connection on the
device with a torque of
0.8 Nm.
Connect the function earth to
the earth connection of the
cabinet or plant in which the
device is installed.
