12.5.9 Backing up the hard disk
The device's hard disk is divided into two partitions, volumes C and D. The operating system
is installed on volume C. Volume D can be used for user data.
Back up the complete hard disk regularly, for example, using "SIMATIC PC/PG Image
Partition Creator". This software can be purchased as an accessory, Order No. 6ES7648-
6AA03-0YX0.
Caution
Date errors writing to CD-RW
The quality of raw disc differs considerably. Data errors cannot, therefore, be entirely
excluded. To be on the safe side, verify the data after writing it.
