WARNING
Exceeding the maximum permissible cable length between the Safe Brake Adapter
and the Control Interface Module
If the permissible cable length between the Safe Brake Adapter and the Control Interface
Module is exceeded this can result in death or serious injury in the event of an error.
• Comply with the maximum permissible cable length of 10 m between the 230 V AC Safe
Brake Adapter and the Control Interface Module.
• Route the cable according to ISO 13849-2, Table D.4.
• It is recommended that the cable harness (length 4 m) with article number
6SL3060-4DX04-0AA0 is used.

If the permissible cable length of the brake control is exceeded this can result in death or
serious injury in the event of an error.
• The maximum permissible cable length of 300 m between the 230 V AC Safe Brake
Adapter and the brake must be carefully maintained.
• To accurately calculate the maximum cable length, see the SINAMICS Low Voltage
Configuration Manual on the customer DVD supplied with the device.
