SIMATIC PDM operation
The write protection in the PROFIsafe commissioning status "S4" allows the maintenance
timer to be changed, for example for the calibrating interval of the electronics and for the
servicing interval of the sensor.

1.8 Quit PROFIsafe commissioning
1.8.1 Preparations for maintenance and service
Procedure
Before you perform maintenance on a PROFIsafe device, proceed as follows:
1. Deactivate "PROFIsafe Commissioning".
2. Deactivate the PIN write protection if necessary.
1.8.2 Deactivate PROFIsafe commissioning in SIMATIC PDM
Procedure
1. Click on "Device > PROFIsafe Commissioning > Quit PROFIsafe Commissioning" in the
menu bar.
2. Press the "Quit PROFIsafe operation mode or commissioning" button.
3. Press the "Close" button.
