16.6 Deactivate Wi-Fi on the
device

to your home network, the connection
will be automatically re-established
when you switch Wi-Fi back on.
16.9 Data protection
Please note the information on data
protection.
When your device is connected to a
home network connected to the
Internet for the first time, your device
transmits the following categories of
data to the
Home Connect server
(Initial registration):
¡ Unique device identifier (best
based on device keys and the MAC
address of the built-in Wi-Fi
communication module).
¡ Wi-Fi Com-
communication module (for
information technology protection
of the connection).
¡ The current software version and
Hardware version of your home appliance.
¡ Status of any previous
reset to factory settings.
16.7 Software update
Pre-condition: The display shows.
1. Press for about 3 seconds.
2. Set the program to position 6.

Note: The software update can take
several minutes. Do not switch off
the device during the software
update.
16.8 Reset network settings of
the device
This initial registration prepares the use
of the Home Connect functionalities
and is only required at the point in time
at which you would like to use the
Home Connect functionalities for the
first time.
