The run screens appears indicating that the infusion is running.
Programming the Pump Using the Basic Mode
Software version 6.01.00 and later
1. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the pump on.
2. If the previous setup needs to be erased, press YES soft key when prompted “New
Patient?”.
3. Use the arrow keys to select the care area (nursing area) and press OK.
4. Using the keypad, type the lettters BA, select Basic, and press OK. Use the arrow buttons to
indicate whether you are setting up the primary or secondary bag and press OK.
5. Select mL/hr or use arrow softkeys to scroll through dose rates, and press OK.
6. If a dose rate is chosen, enter drug concentration and diluent (mL) values.
7. Enter the dose or flow rate value, and press OK.
8. Enter the VTBI (Volume To Be Infused) in mL, and press OK.
9. Confirm the computed infusion time.
10. Confirm the Volume Given mL value or press CLEAR to erase it.
NOTE: VTBI counts down to zero, while volume given counts from zero up.
11. Press RUN to begin the infusion.
12. Check flow displays for rates less than 25 mL/hr in software versions 6.01.00 & 6.02.00. In
software versions 6.03.01 and later, check flow displays for all rates:
■ Press YES if drops are flowing, all clamps are open, and there are no kinks in the tubing.
■ Press NO if no drops are flowing. Open all clamps and unkink the tubing. Confirm all
infusion parameters are as intended.
