a. Using the keypad, type the drug's first two letters and press OK. All drugs beginning
with those two letters will appear.
b. Use the arrow keys to scroll to the desired drug and press OK.
5. If the drug is to be delivered using the Basic mode:
a. Press BASIC.
b. Use the arrow softkeys to change the bag to secondary.
c. Press OK and select mL/hr or dose rate mode.
6. Confirm the values on the setup screen:
a. Confirm the drug and concentrations are correct (if selected).
b. Enter all required data, and press OK after each entry.
c. To avoid infusing residual amounts of the secondary container at primary flow rates, be
sure to properly set the secondary VTBI value. Secondary VTBI should equal secondary
bag volume.
NOTE: A “watermark” indicator is displayed behind the parameter data to help
distinguish the Secondary (2) setup screen from the Primary (1) setup
screen. This watermark does not appear on Primary-only infusions.
7. Press RUN to begin the secondary infusion.
The “two bag” icon denotes the secondary is running.
8. Open the roller clamp for the secondary set when prompted. Press OK to confirm accom-
plishment of that step and begin delivery.
