TIPPING HAZARD
When the machine tilts, please drive
at low speed.
When the tilt alarm sounds, any oper-
ation of the machine is forbidden ex-
cept lowering, and only when the
factors that cause the tilting are elimi-
nated can the machine continue
operating.
1. With the machine stowed, push the drive high/low
speed select button, the button should illuminate
and the machine should drive at low speed.
2. Push the button again, the button indicator light
should be off and the machine should drive at
high speed.
TESTING THE DRIVE SPEED
1. Push the emergency stop button on the ground
controller and platform controller to the ON position.
2. Turn the key switch on the ground to the platform
control position.
3. Press the lift function button at the platform
controls. The button should illuminate.
4. Hold the enable switch of the control handle and
push the control handle forward to activate the lift
function. Ensure the platform lifts about 2m (6.6 ft).
Ensure the pothole guard device (one under the left
side of the chassis and one under the right side of
the chassis) extends.
5. Press the drive/steer function button at the platform
controls, hold the enable switch on the control
handle and gently push the control handle forward
to the full drive position. Ensure the machine does
not take less than 45 seconds to travel 10m (32.8
ft).
NOTICE
If the machine takes less than 45 seconds to
travel 10 m (32.8 ft), stop the machine and
determine the cause.
6. Press the lift function button. Hold the enable switch
of the control handle and push the control handle
reverse to activate the lowering function and lower it
to fully stowed position.
7. Press the drive/steer function button at the platform
controls, then press the drive high/low speed select
button. The low speed drive mode is selected when
the indicator light is on.
8. Hold the enable switch on the control handle and
gently push the control handle forward to the full
drive position. Ensure the machine does not take
less than 18 seconds to travel 10m (32.8 ft).
NOTICE
If the machine takes less than 18 seconds to
travel 10m (32.8 ft), stop the machine and
determine the cause.
9. Press the drive high/low speed select button at the
platform controls. The indicator light should be off.
10. Hold the enable switch on the control handle and
gently push the control handle forward to the full
drive position. Ensure the machine does not take
less than 9 seconds to travel 10m (32.8 ft).
NOTICE
If the machine takes less than 9 seconds to travel
10m (32.8 ft), stop the machine and determine
the cause.
TESTING THE EMERGENCY
LOWERING FUNCTION
In case of power unit malfuctions, the emergency
lowering function can be used to fully lower the platform
as appropriate.
NOTICE
This test is performed when the platform is empty.
1. Pull out the emergency stop button on the ground
and platform controls to the ON position.
2. Turn the key switch on the ground to the ground
control position.
3. Press and hold both the enable button and the lift
function button on the ground controls to raise the
platform to full height.
