(ADJUSTMENT AND OPERATION)
{INSTALLATION)
Remove both the button clamp mechanism assem-
bly and the feed plate from the machine and install
attachment
O in place . Loosen screws e and adjust
button cl
amp bracke t O to permit t he needle to
come down in the middle of t he need le slot in metal
button
adaptor 8 . Attach butt on clamp feed plate e
using screws O in the way that it permits the needle
to come down in the middle of the needle slot in feed
plate • ·
Insert the top end of button cl amp stud O
in to an opening in the jaw of the machine arm and
fasten
it by sc r ew O.
1) Loosen screw 41) , let feed plate 0 recede 1.0 to 1.5 mm fr om the left end of button clamp jaw lever 8
and relighten screw • ·
2) Set a button in place , loosen screws -» and f> and align me t al button holding clamp Cl) with the center of
the button .
3) Metal butto n hold i ng clamp • must give pr oper pressure to the bu tt on so th at the button stays steadily
in position wh il e being sewn . Loosen a setscrew in thrust colla r e and rot ate the thrust collar until metal
button holding clamp • provides proper pressure .
4) Y ou may fix button clam p block e in a convenient position for operation.

1) For t his mach i ne a single- phase or 3-phase 200 watts (1/4 HP) induction mot or Is used.
2) Use a V belt.
3) T he sewing speed d epends on the diameter of the motor pulley as listed below ;

* The pulley of 50Hz and 1. 300 rpm is in common with t hat of 60Hz and 1, 500 rpm.
* The rotating direction of motor is countercloc kw ise when viewed from the motor pulley side .
Be careful not to rotate in reve rse direction.
* When replac i ng the motor pulley and cha n ging the sewing speed from 1,300 rpm to 1 ,500 rpm and vice
ve r sa, be su re to re-ad just the po sition of the stop-motion. (Re fer to • AdJustlng the position of the
