5 Testing
5.1 Check
1. Oil level
Remove the red oil plug from the high-pressure cooling pump and replace it with the dipstick included.
Check oil level.
2. Electrical cable check
The insulation of the electrical cable must be free from defects and without cracks. In case of doubt, please
contact SKOV A/S or your dealer.
3. Voltage check
Check that the supply voltage corresponds to the one indicated on the type plate.
4. Power consumption and fuses
Check that the mains supply can handle the power consumption indicated on the type plate.
5. Check the water supply
See section Water supply [}9].
5.2 Test the complete system
Test the entire system, when installation of pump, pipes and nozzles has been completed.
(See Technical User Guide for High-pressure cooling system regarding mounting of pipes and nozzles, if re-
quired.)
1. Turn on the water.
2. Pump without frequency converter
To bleed the filters, loosen the bleed screws on top of the filters until the filters are filled with water. Start the
pump in manual mode.
3. Pump with frequency converter
Start the pump in manual mode. Bleed the filters by means of the bleed screws on the top of the filters.
4. Open the rinse valves at the end of the pipes.
5. Close the rinse valves. The pressure then increases so that it can be checked that all the pipe joints and
FlexClamp nozzles are tight.
6. Check that all FlexClamp nozzles spray satisfactorily/sprays a fine mist of water particles out into the air.
7. Replace defective parts in case of leaks or the like. Extra complete FlexClamp nozzles are included.
8. If a hole for a FlexClamp nozzle has been placed inappropriately or if the amount of water to the livestock
house is to be limited, the blind nozzles included can be used to close a hole.
