3.6 NH3
This section is only relevant for houses with NH
3
sensor.
Table 1: Overview of the complete NH
3
menu
By using a NH
3
sensor, the current NH
3
level in the house can be monitored and used as an indicator of the air
quality.
The feature increases ventilation and the current ventilation level, depending on the atmospheric NH
3
content.
i.e., if it was higher than the NH3 Setpoint
.
Climate/ NH3
Current ventilation requirement (as a percentage of the facility’s capacity) so as to
present the NH
3
level amidst the NH
3
set point.
Upper limit of NH
3
in the air.
When the NH
3
in the air exceeds the NH3 setpoint
,
the function increases ventilation.
You can engage and disengage the NH3 ventilation.
Be aware of the NH3 Setpoint.
As long as the NH3 levels are too high, DOL 53X will increase the ventilation so as to lower the
level.
Too low a setting can result in a very high heat consumption or temperature drop in the livestock
house, if there is no heat supply available.
Also see paragraph 5.4for a description of the NH
3
alarm.
