TROUBLESHOOTING

Issue Solutions
The display doesn’t turn on when
you use a connected computer’s
mouse or keyboard.
l Make sure the computer is on.
l Make sure the display is in Power Save mode rather than Standby mode. You
can enable Power Save mode from the on-screen display menu.

NOTE
The display’s power light is solid amber when the display is in Power Save
mode.

Resolving issues with presence detection and Wake to Touch
Issue Solutions
The display doesn’t turn on when
users enter the room.
l Make sure all cables are securely connected and presence detection is enabled.
For the SPNL-6055 and SPNL-6065 models, see Proximity on page91.
For the SPNL-6065-V2, SPNL-6075, SPNL-6265-V2, SPNL-6275, SPNL-6065P,
SPNL-6075P, SPNL-6265P and SPNL-6275P models, see Proximity on page93.
l Make sure nothing is blocking the presence detection sensor.
The display turns on when it
shouldn’t.
l Set the Re-enable Time option so that users have enough time to leave the
room.

For the SPNL-6065-V2, SPNL-6075, SPNL-6265-V2, SPNL-6275, SPNL-6065P,
SPNL-6075P, SPNL-6265P and SPNL-6275P models, see Proximity on page93.
l Check for and, if possible, move the display away from the following:
o
Direct sunlight
o
Bright lights
o
Forced air ducts
o
Plasma displays
o
Infrared audio systems and other infrared sources
o
Polished floors, glass walls, or other reflective surfaces
l Be aware that the display’s presence detection range is 16'(5m).
The display doesn’t wake when
users touch the screen.
l Make sure users touch the screen for at least one second.
l Be aware that SMARTBoard 6055 and 6065 (models SPNL-6055 and
SPNL-6065) interactive displays with scaler firmware 1.1.0.6 or earlier don’t wake
when you touch the screen.
