GPS reception
Correct functioning of the navigation
system depends, amongst other things, on
GPS reception. In certain situations, GPS
reception may be impaired, there may be
interference or there may be no reception
at all, e.g. in tunnels or parking garages.
Available/unavailable functions
Functions that are currently available are
highlighted, functions that are currently
unavailable are grayed out.
Entry restriction
You can enter an address only when the
transmission selector lever is in position
j (see vehicle Operator's Manual). The

alternative routes

display of the maximum permissible
speed in the map with an audible warning
if you exceed the speed limit

route plotting (GPS track)

Press Easy or Expert.
The navigation main menu is shown in
Easy or Expert mode. You can switch
between Easy and Expert mode
(Y page 27).
Option 2: the navigation system shows the
display that was exited before switching
off.
