Measurement method:
1. In B mode freeze the image, press the 【Calc】key to pop up the
Meas & Calc menu, move the trackball, use the cursor to select
“Cardiac”, press the【SET】key to go to the submenu, move the
trackball to select “LVM”, press the【SET】key to go to measurement
state.
2. Measure LVPWd, see “Distance Measurement” for the specific
method.
3. Measure IVSTd, see “Distance Measurement” for the specific
method.
4. Measure LVIDd, see “Distance Measurement” for the specific
method.
5. Based on the formula to calculate LV Mass, the measurement and
calculation result is displayed in the result window.
6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 to go to the next LV Mass measurement.

Function: Based on patient’s height, weight and LV Mass, to calculate
LVMWI.
