Description: D1 is prostate antero-posterior diameter
D2 is prostate head-tail diameter
D3 is prostate transversal diameter
PV PV = (π/6) ×D1 × D2 × D3
Prostate antigen density PSAD = PSA/PV
Where PSA (unit: ng) is the blood serum value, which can be inputted by
the user, or calculated from PSA = 0.12×PV.
Measurement method:
1. press the【Calc】key to pop up the Meas & Calc menu, move the
trackball, use the cursor to select “Small Part”, press the【SET】key
to go to the submenu, move the trackball to select “prostate “, go to
“prostate “measurement mode.
2. Measure prostate long diameter D1; see “Distance Measurement”
for the specific method.
3. Measure prostate width D2, see “Distance Measurement” for the
specific method.
4. Measure prostate height D3, see “Distance Measurement” for the
specific method.
5. Based on the formula to perform calculation, the measurement and
calculation result is displayed in the result area.
6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 to perform the next measurement.
