1-6-2. Recovery in Case Installation of Installation Module Fails
When downloading installation modules, if installation of the modules fails due to some reason and the unit cannot start
normally, perform the following procedure.
Outline
1. Restore the boot program data by the backup data.
2. Restore only the boot program data, set the mode to the forcible download mode, and then reinstall modules.
3. Re-set the unit mode to the normal operation mode.
4. Checking after installation
Procedure
1. Restore the boot program data by the backup data.
1) Set Pin 2 of the DIP-SW S300 on the MIX-54 board to ON.
2) Turn on the power of the unit.
3) Confirm that "FF" is displayed on the LEDs D2800 to D2807, D3302 to D3303 (CPU status LEDs) on the
MIX-54 board and then "00" is displayed.
4) Confirm that the boot message appears on the menu display of the unit.
5) Turn off the power of the unit.
6) Set Pin 2 of the DIP-SW S300 on the MIX-54 board to OFF.
2. Start only the boot program data, set the mode to the forcible download mode, and then reinstall modules.
1) Set Pin 1 of the DIP-SW S301 on the MIX-54 board to ON.
2) Insert the USB memory that contains the version update data into the USB connector of the USB memory.
Note
For how to store data in USB memory, refer to "preparation" in “1-6-1. Version Update from the USB Memory”
3) Turn on the power of the unit.
4) When this unit has started, version update starts automatically.
5) Wait until a message "Finish Install" appears on the menu display.
6) Turn off the power of the unit.
7) Disconnect the USB memory from the USB connector.
8) Set Pin 1 of the DIP-SW S301 on the MIX-54 board to OFF.
3. Re-set the unit mode to the normal operation mode
1) Set all pins of the DIP-SW S300 and DIP-SW S301 on the MIX-54 board to OFF.
4. Checking after installation
