1-6. Version Update
The firmware programs, software programs, and FPGA data of the unit can be updated.
1-6-1. Version Update from the USB Memory
Version update is performed normally using the USB memory.
Preparation
Create the following folder in the USB memory for version update and store the specified installation object in the
folder.
\Sony\MCS\INSTALL
Download object naming rule
file name use
mx54_c_xxxx.clf Main application program
mx54_s_c_xxxx.clf Boot program
imp_firm_xxxx.clf Firmware for image processor
imp_creg_xxxx.clf Register for image processor
mx54_f_c_xxxx.clf Font data for menu display
mx54_fs1_xxxx.clf Configuration data for video processing device ( FS1)
mx54_fs2_xxxx.clf Configuration data for video processing device ( FS2)
mx54_xpt_xxxx.clf Configuration data for video processing device ( XPT)
mx54_aud_xxxx.clf Configuration data for audio processing device
xxxx: Varies depending on version and other information.
Note
Only installation objects with a file name that conforms to the naming rule in the folder are installed.
Disconnect the signal cables of the unit from other devices, and then install objects at an ordinary temperature.
Installing Objects
1. Turn off the power of the unit.
2. Insert the USB memory that contains the specified files in the specified folder into the USB connector of the
unit.
3. Turn on the power of the unit.
4. Confirm that the unit is working normally.
5. Press the SETUP button beside the menu display of the unit.
6. Select "Install ▶ " (last of the item list) with the [V1] knob and press the [V1] knob.
7. Press the [V4] knob to start installation.
8. A message "Waiting..." is displayed in the sub-title area during the installation.
