Techniques for Better Recording
The PCM-M10 linear PCM recorder allows you to enjoy high-quality recording in a variety
of situations. This section introduces easy recording setups for 6 typical music scenes.
For recording a solo acoustic
guitar performance
z Tips for setup
• Use a tripod or other device to set the PCM
recorder about 1 meter from the guitar.
• Set the PCM recorder so that its built-in
microphones face the sound box of the
guitar.
• To start, stop recording, or add track marks
remotely, use the supplied remote
commander.
For recording a piano performance
z Tips for setup
• Use a tripod or other device to set the PCM
recorder level with the piano keyboard.
• Set the PCM recorder approximately 1.5
meters from the piano.
